Job Role: Field Service Engineer
Hours: Monday – Friday 08.00 – 16.30 as standard + overtime, call, and weekends as/when demands
Salary: £15.00 > £18.00 Dependant on qualifications & experience.
Role Type: Permanent
Holiday Entitlement: 23 days + Bank Holidays and flexible for additional days.

Job Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for Service, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment to set specifications and ensure machine reliability and safety.
- Have a good eye for detail, with ability to identify and report machine defects.
- Carry out and Successful diagnose and rectify hydraulic, electrical, powertrain and other faults.
- Operate diagnostic software via a laptop computer (training to be given)
- Complete a thorough report of work carried out along with photographs to support via an in-house Service Manager tablet system.
- Complete risk assessments in line with company health and safety policy and ensure safe working practices are always in place.
- ordering parts with the parts department
- Any other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the role
About you
- A minimum qualification of NVQ level 3 in Plant/Mechanical engineering, or at least NVQ level 2 with excellent knowledge and experience.
- Experience in a similar environment working with plant machinery, diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
- Sound IT Skills
- Good Communication skills with the ability to deliver appropriate and effective information and build relationships both internally and externally to allow planning and continued work to be effectively completed.
- Excellent time management with the ability to set timescales to own tasks to enable completion of duties and to ensure all tasks are carried out with a level of urgency and within a timely manner, whilst not compromising safety.
- Always present a professional image.
- Must carry a full driving licence as well the ability to operate machinery on site for testing purposes (training can be given to the right candidate)
