Our client based in the Oswestry area is currently looking for a talented Kitchen Designer to join their team on a permanent basis.  The site is open all week, in this role you will be expected to work 4 weekdays from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and one day at the weekend, Saturdays 9am to 5.30pm, Sundays 10am to 4pm.  As the Kitchen Designer you will have the ability to understand and learn the design software and product catalogues, be a skilled designer but also be customer focussed and able to support a customer’s journey of a high value considered purchase, managing that journey from customer requirements and expectations, through to dealing with customer complaints should there be any.

Performance Objectives

• Taking customers through their choices of products.
• Designing their ideal kitchen or fitted bedroom.
• Liaising with professional fitters throughout the installation.
• Understand the products catalogue.
• Must be able to learn CAD software, Winner Design and quoting software, EQ, if not already conversant with them; as well as supplier quoting and ordering portals.
• Integrate with our client’s incumbent team of designers and report to the Head of Kitchen Department as well as the Site Manager.
• Upsell on products and drive sales to increase business.

Person Specification

• Proven customer service experience.
• CAD design skills.
• Strong project management experience.
• Proven ability to drive sales, converting leads to sales and winning business from the competition.
• Professional in dealing with all customers.
