An opportunity to join Aa Finance team for a Manufacturer based in Wrexham.  The Senior Finance Officer will support the Team to provide accurate and timely reporting. The role is supporting with the preparation of month end, assisting with producing the management accounts and providing financial information to senior management and head office. The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a manufacturing environment and involvement with international trade.

Performance Objectives

• Assist with preparing standard month end reporting and year end accounts
• Report on monthly and quarterly financials and communicate results to senior management and international head office
• Liaising with external auditors and HMRC
• Assist with budget planning process and the production of presentations for budget planning discussions with head office
• Monthly forecasting of sales and profit
• Assist in cost centre analysis and identify cost saving initiatives
• Finance projects including overseeing process developments and organisational improvements
• VAT and duty reporting
• Maintaining Business Risk Review and Corporate Criminal Offence strategies
• Fixed Asset management

Person Specification

• Previous experience working in manufacturing environment and with experience of customs and international trade
• AAT Accounting qualification
• Ability to manipulate large sets of data, standardise information received from several sources/formats and a good knowledge of standard formula, functions, pivot tables and produce graphs and charts
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communicator
• Ability to prioritise tasks while working to tight deadlines
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent time organisation
• SAP experience would be advantageous

Finance Business Partner and Cost Accountant

Our client based in the Deeside area is currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner and Cost Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.  Reporting to the Head of Operational Finance, you will work in a small, dedicated finance team across the groups two trading entities and across the 3 production sites in North Wales.

Performance Objectives

• Production of weekly business data with variance analysis to standards.
• Support business planning by providing financial analysis and modelling.
• Measuring business KPIs.
• Business partnering with commercial, sales & NPD to develop a robust system that will support all pricing and quoting tasks.
• Maintain and develop product costing processes, BOMs and RM pricing files.
• Support with budgeting activities in particular the setting of Standards.
• Supporting with ad hoc financial projects including stock control systems and counts.
• End-to-end monthly reporting process ownership.
• Production of weekly KPI information in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Support internal stakeholders, providing financial services to Sales, Operations, and Marketing.
• Regular inventory reconciliations across own sites and third-party warehouses.
