Duties include:

• Working to production targets for cutting and machining of aluminum parts
• Working to customer specifications
• Finishing and deburring of products ready for paint
• Dexterous assembly of parts (no heavy lifting required).
• Quality Inspection of parts.
• Machine operation – full training will be provided.

Ideal candidates will:

• Be comfortable working at a fast pace – manufacturing targets will be required to be met.
• Always keep a clean and safe working area.
• Be comfortable completing paperwork.
• Will abide by health and safety rules.
• Have an interest within engineering or manufacturing

Basic Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday, 8am – 5pm
• Friday, 8am – 1pm.

Pay Rate: £10.00ph

• Ensure all items are packed as per weight

• Overtime +48 hours - £12.50ph

• Final quality inspection of parts prior to paint

 About the role:

• Operating of finishing equipment producing finished labels in compliance with company operating procedures.
• Ensure machinery runs at maximum output, bearing in mind quality, machinery limitations and health and safety.
• Adopt a “pitstop” mentality to reduce change over times, fully utilize and organise press assistants and co-operate with staggered break times to increase runt time against downtime.
• Proactively manage presses to achieve the best quality levels ensuring that all paperwork is completed and up to date and ensures traceability.
• Ensure maximum material utilization and a reduction of wastage of all materials including inks.
• Ensure machine is left in a safe manner for your shift opposite and any issues communicated clearly.
• Co-operation with all company systems including health and safety, ISO9001, BRC accreditations and all paperwork systems.
• Detail all press specifications and technical details which are required to produce jobs
• Co-operate and participate in continual improvements to the press and wider company environment.
• Carry out general duties which may include packing, sheeting and any other duties that may be required.

• Operation of equipment to the highest levels of efficiency
