Job Title: Labelling Operative

gap personnel Gloucester, are currently recruiting for 1 Labelling Operatives on permanent contracts for a global packaging based at one of their sites in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

About the role:
- Operating of finishing equipment producing finished labels in compliance with company operating procedures.
- Ensure machinery runs at maximum output, bearing in mind quality, machinery limitations and health and safety.
- Adopt a “pitstop” mentality to reduce change over times, fully utilize and organise press assistants and co-operate with staggered break times to increase runt time against downtime.
- Proactively manage presses to achieve the best quality levels ensuring that all paperwork is completed and up to date and ensures traceability.
- Ensure maximum material utilization and a reduction of wastage of all materials including inks.
- Ensure machine is left in a safe manner for your shift opposite and any issues communicated clearly.
- Co-operation with all company systems including health and safety, ISO9001, BRC accreditations and all paperwork systems.
- Detail all press specifications and technical details which are required to produce jobs
- Co-operate and participate in continual improvements to the press and wider company environment.
- Carry out general duties which may include packing, sheeting and any other duties that may be required.

About you:
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
- Ability to maintain hygiene and procedural standards required within their industry sector
- Previous experience of working with machines (ideally in a printing, pharmaceuticals, or food environment)
- Quality conscious
Working Hours and Salary:
- 36 hours per week
- 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am
- 3 days on, 3 days off, 3 nights on, 8 days off (rotate)
- £24.897 a year
