FLT Driver Counterbalance
gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for a warehouse operative with a counterbalance forklift license for our client based in Oldbury (B69)
Shifts are: Monday to Friday
7:00-16:00
Pay rate: £11.02 p/h
Overtimes: £16.53 p/h
Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Warehouse Shift Manager the warehouse operative with counterbalance forklift and/or combi license will be responsible for:
- Unloading and loading of vehicles for distribution
- Maintaining warehouse stock levels and replenishment
- Identifying and reporting product defects
- Booking in stock using handheld scanner
- Palletising customer deliveries and placed into relevant delivery locations
- Working within a busy environment the role entails moving products around the warehouse and yard which does include some outdoor exposure
- Assisting the trade counter during busy periods
- Any other duties required by the Warehouse Shift Manager
Experience
- Using forklifts forklift truck licence (current) essential
- Loading, unloading, checking, moving, storing, palletising
- Managing received goods or preparing palletised goods for despatch
- Keeping accurate records of orders picked or incoming goods
- Complying with our health and safety requirements.
- Labelling items.
- Cleaning the warehouse.
- Maintaining equipment.

This role is a temp to perm contract with your first 12 weeks placement through gap personnel with a permanent contract offered after this period is completed.
The candidate must have up to date counterbalance licence to be considered for the role and provide evidence of this. Prior starting you will have to attend site for the interview and site familiarisation.
The Salary will be looking at approximately £23k a year when taken on permanently.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

Required:
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
- Valid FLT Reach licence
- Previous warehouse experience is desirable

Production Supervisor
My client is a family business and has been running a successful manufacturing business in the Ruthin area for over 60 years
Due to expansion within the business, they are now recruiting for a Produciton Supevisor to join their team
Duties
- Lead all maintenance processes and operations.
- · Maintain all machinery to ensure it is at working standards.
- · Create and implement maintenance schedules
- · Conduct regular inspections of the work equipment to proactively detect and resolve problems, as well as any areas requiring extra maintenance.
- · Plan and coordinate all repair and installation activities.
- · Performing on-site repairs
- · Respond to emergency calls for maintenance (weekend work will be required from time to time)
- · Discussing maintenance concerns with the General Manager.
- · Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
- · Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- · Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
- · Knowledge of Woodworking Industry machinery essential (WEING, WACO)

- Background in Inspection Work and be able to work with machinery

Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday 6:30am to 4:30pm and Friday 06:30am to 12:30pm
