Stock Control Operative
gap personnel acting as an employment agency are working in partnership with Octavian Fine Wine Services Ltd and recruiting for a Stock Control Operative on a permanent basis.

Octavian Fine Wine Services Ltd is professional fine wine storage company, offering bonded warehousing and optimal cellaring conditions.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
You will be working in chilled and clean environment where you join a large community of dedicated, hard-working and energised individuals who pride themselves on their commitment and work ethic.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter products details into internal databases,
- Investigate customer order discrepancies, missing items, miss-picked items etc.,
- Stock audits count and check stock in each location,
- Ensure product descriptions, codes and barcodes are all accurate and updated when necessary,
- Perpetual and adhoc counting,
- Follow Health and Safety policy at all times,
- Keep updated inventory records (including daily reports for discrepancies),
- Investigate stock discrepancies and report information to Stock Manager,
- Provide cover within the warehouse, picking, goods in when required,
- Report findings to admin.
IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
- Good understanding the movements of stock,
- Pro-active approach to actively learn about products so that you can offer consistent and accurate product knowledge to others,
- Ability to investigate issues and escalate accordingly,
- Excellent attention to details and have a high level of accuracy,
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job,
- Own transport due to rural location,
- Good Math and English skills,
- Previous experience working in warehouse.
HOURS OF WORK:
· Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
· Overtime paid at higher rates
SALARY:
· £22,159.98 per annum

The Role
- You will be responsible for assembling of products for the healthcare sector
- Quality checking of products and completing necessary paperwork
- Work in the clean-room at the St.Asaph facility under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager and complying with all clean-room manufacturing standards
Responsibilities
- Assembly of products, following a set out process and be able to work as part of a team
- Ensure that the necessary controls are in place to manufacture parts in line with documentation and processes
- Ensure that the clean-room manufacturing area maintains GMP standards, ensuring your work areas are kept clean and clear to a high standard
- Liaise with the non clean-room operators to ensure controlled movement of raw materials and finished product from the clean-room to the packing area via the airlocks
Skills Required
- Previous assembly clean-room manufacturing is desirable
- ISO 13485 background (desirable) but not essential as full training will be given
- Able to work as a part of a small team and to follow instructions as required by the supervisory / management team
- Good communication and written English skills
- Confident completing paperwork accurately

Responsibilities
- Operates and performs adjustments to laboratory equipment and instruments
- Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis such as sampling, testing and measuring using specialised equipment
- Completes the compiling, analysing and interpreting of results
- Performs periodic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance work
- Troubleshoots test processes
- Calculates as well as prepares graphs and charts
- Prepares measurement and test equipment (e.g. instrumentation and functionality tests)
Essential Skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels
- Able to work well as part of team as well as individually
- Can follow instruction and work under supervision
- Scientific background – knowledge of microbiology & microbiological methods
