Gap Personnel Group, operating as an employment business, are currently looking to recruit a Store Process Leader for one our well-established clients based in Liverpool.

As the Stores Process Leader you will be responsible for managing the processes associated with the successful running of the on site stores operation in an efficient manner in order to meet business requirements and the needs of our dedicated customer.

Main accountabilities:

  • To manage the processes associated with the on site stores operation on a day to day basis ensuring that agreed targets are achieved in line with business and customer requirements.
  • To ensure that a minimum of 60% of contracted basic hours are spent in a picking role.
  • To ensure picks are generated on a daily basis and allocated to the stores team in a timely manner.
  • To ensure back orders are run on a regular and timely basis to ensure no late orders are missed.
  • To work with the Transport and Stores Administrator to ensure all items for Express shipment are prioritised and fast tracked through the picking process.
  • To ensure any stores related queries (CCF’s) from the customer are investigated thoroughly and findings escalated to the Operations Manager within a 4 hour time window.
  • To ensure the Goods In Operator is supported and that all inbound stocks are booked in, put away and managed in a timely manner.
  • To liaise directly with the customer at many levels to resolve and stores and goods in related issues.
  • To ensure the customer’s annual stocktake is delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To maintain a high standard of housekeeping and Health & Safety throughout all stores areas.
  • To ensure all customer returns (RMA’s) are booked in and processed in a timely manner.
  • To work with the Operations Manager to ensure the efficient use of stores resource and that resource reflects the volumetric demands of the customer.
  • To monitor the store’s activities ensuring that contractual obligations for the customer are achieved, generating solutions for improvement where necessary and discussing with the Operations Manager.
  • To accrue and submit, weekly and monthly stores related KPI’s to the Operations Manager.
  • To support and train any new employees, or agency workers, by ensuring their operational and psychological engagement along with their continual development within the stores area.
  • To ensure appropriate understanding to enable individuals to meet their role requirements and to create involvement and engagement through two way communication mechanisms.
  • To protect and improve customer perception through meeting service levels, ensuring service failures are communicated effectively and that, with the Operations Manager, recurring issues are resolved.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
  • Experience of customer bespoke IT systems
  • Operational understanding of team roles

Skills

  • Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements
  • Effective Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Experience of improving employee engagement

Experience

  • Experience operating as part of a team in a complex logistics, transport or manufacturing environment
  • Experience of the stores, warehouse and / or transport operations, able to demonstrate key drivers of each
  • Experience of working to a process in a fast moving environment and able to demonstrate leadership of that process
  • Some previous experience of a leadership role

Salary £26,000 per year

Hours are:

Monday to Thursday: 8am to 4:30pm

Friday: 7am to 3:30pm

40 hours a week
