Transport Coordinator
Gap personnel operating as an employment business is recruiting for a Transport Coordinator for our client in Ipswich, you will be working for a premier supplier that is looking to grow its team on a Full time Temporary to Permanent Basis.
Monday to Friday 07:00AM to 16:30PM 40 hours per week
Pay £11.00 Per Hour
Not exhaustive Main Responsibilities
- To organise and allocate “Delivered” orders to Haulage contractors in the most cost effective and efficient manner, ensuring that deliveries are made in accordance with our customers and business’s requirements,
- Maintain regular contact with hauliers to resolve any issues, identify opportunities, improving service levels and efficiencies.
- Working with the site manager using forward planning to ensure that daily despatch tonnages are achieved and maintained effectively and efficiently.
- To comply with legislation and industry codes in relation to hazardous substances and all other requirements, ect.
Knowledge, skills, and experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written English
- A can-do attitude is essential in this role, to ensure our customers receive a high level of service.
- An excellent telephone manner is essential, having the ability to communicate clearly at all levels and keep a calm presence within the office and on the telephone when under pressure.
- Good general understanding Microsoft Word and Excel & other programs
