Job Title: Warehouse Section Manager
Location: Amesbury, Salisbury, SP4
Contract: Permanent
Shift: Lates, 2pm – 10pm (5 out of 7-day rota)
Basic Salary: £35,200pa
gap personnel are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Section Manager to support site operations across the late shift (2pm – 10pm) located at TJ Morris’ all-purpose built distribution centre located at Amesbury, Wiltshire, SP4.
You will be joining a privately owned, family run discount retailer selling top brands at the lowest possible price on the UK high street. The distribution centre is one of the companies most advanced and highly automated DC’s and covers a whopping 1,000,000sq.ft.
The Section Manager will be required to work within the warehousing area reporting directly to the Shift Manager.
- Essential Site Functions & Responsibility:
- Lead and manage a warehouse team from the DC floor to ensure you maximise performance and achieve shift KPIs and standards
- Set and communicate team’s objectives during daily performance briefings, highlighting areas of focus
- Hold monthly 1-2-1s with each of the team members to review their performance levels, development needs and support in development activities
- Recruit, onboard and induct new team members and ensure their induction and H&S training is complete
- Ensure team are compliant with the H&S, warehouse & cleaning procedures, processes, and quality standards
Ideal candidate:
- Demonstrate competence regarding understanding and applying the principles of Science, Maths and English, typically at a level of GCSE C and above
- Required to be computer-literate, particularly with word processors, spreadsheets, and databases
- Demonstrate good communication skills & able to communicate at all levels within the business
- Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision as well as effective teamwork
- Consistently comply with company rules and procedures
- Ability to organise and plan work to meet achievable deadlines & targets
- Ability to manage and coach the team
- Ability to adapt to changes in working procedures and priorities
- 3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role

The Role
- You will be responsible for assembling of products for the healthcare sector
- Quality checking of products and completing necessary paperwork
- Work in the clean-room at the St.Asaph facility under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager and complying with all clean-room manufacturing standards
Responsibilities
- Assembly of products, following a set out process and be able to work as part of a team
- Ensure that the necessary controls are in place to manufacture parts in line with documentation and processes
- Ensure that the clean-room manufacturing area maintains GMP standards, ensuring your work areas are kept clean and clear to a high standard
- Liaise with the non clean-room operators to ensure controlled movement of raw materials and finished product from the clean-room to the packing area via the airlocks
Skills Required
- Previous assembly clean-room manufacturing is desirable
- ISO 13485 background (desirable) but not essential as full training will be given
- Able to work as a part of a small team and to follow instructions as required by the supervisory / management team
- Good communication and written English skills
- Confident completing paperwork accurately

- Operates and performs adjustments to laboratory equipment and instruments

- Troubleshoots test processes
- Calculates as well as prepares graphs and charts

Essential Skills

- Can follow instruction and work under supervision
- Scientific background – knowledge of microbiology & microbiological methods
