As Warehouse Supervisor you will be reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager & Operations Manager, this exciting and wide-ranging role within the Warehouse that will enable the right candidate to develop a career.
Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility for Warehouse Supervisor
Day-to-day management of Warehouse Operatives through leadership, coaching and motivation, with support from the Assistant Supervisor
Team engagement and motivation to achieve continuous productivity and housekeeping improvements, linked to established bonus schemes
Understand and achieve Key Performance Indicators, target service levels and all other metrics
Ensure contingency plans are in place to cover holidays and absence
Communication of performance levels to the team through briefing sessions and training
Identify and initiate steps for performance improvement
Understand company quality standards and ensure compliance
Align with internal customers in other departments to ensure high performance teamwork
Actively follow guidance and policies in relation to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion, security, and confidentiality.
Perform any reasonable requests from Warehouse/Operations Manager.
As Warehouse Supervisor you will need the following skills and attributes:
Experience of working within a similar fast paced and busy environment
Experience of managing and leading a team
Be a strong team player and enjoy working with others to achieve the best result
Ability to work under pressure to meet required deadlines
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
Proactive and positive approach to problem solving
Attention to detail
Good dexterity
Self-motivated and the ability to motivate others
Flexibility within the role to cover other shifts as necessary
Willingness to develop within the Company through formal learning
Stock Management Software /Stock control management
Good IT and administration skills
Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in your approach to work
Advantageous
Full manual driving licence advantageous (possible requirement to visit other warehouses)
Forklift Truck License (desirable but not essential as training will be given)
Stock Management Software experience
Current First Aid certificate
