Yard Operative - Power Station
Gap personnel who operate as an Employment Business are recruiting for a plant operative to work at a Power station on the outskirts of Thetford on a Temporary to Permanent basis.
Hours of work: 0800-1600/ 09.30-2000 Monday to Friday (weekend work available)
Pay: £11.03 per hour, Overtime pays £16.54 for hours worked over 38 hours
Duties include:
- Logging transport in to the plant site
- General swaps and check of material arriving to the site.
- Ensuring a clean and tidy site is maintained throughout the working day.
- Processing plant inspections/general maintenance and housekeeping duties
- Starting, stopping, and monitoring boilers, steam turbines, pumps, water treatment plant and heat exchangers.
- Monitoring trends such as pressure, temperatures and flows around the facility and adjusting accordingly
- Performing basic first line maintenance tasks and reporting any defects to the Shift Team Leader
- Assisting with shutdown activities within the plant ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
- Carrying out all activities with the highest regard for health and safety
The successful candidates will be.
- Able to travel reliably to site for shifts
The role is temporary but could lead to ongoing work and permanent opportunities for reliable candidates
