Job Purpose
Due to continued expansion at our clients site in Wigan, they are now looking for a number of Production Operators to manufacture and pack there products. You will be working to all Health, Safety and Environmental standards by following approved working practices, formulations and setups.
Job Responsibilities
This is a varied role where the incumbent will be expected to ensure all materials are available to produce products. Production Operators are required to liaise with colleagues in the Warehouse to ensure the operations run as required, ensuring quality control tests are undertaken and deviations are reported, and documented in a timely manner. You will be required to operate machinery and use chemicals in accordance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements. You will be expected to report any defective equipment to the Supervisor and maintenance team, as well as any breakages etc. Training for this role will be undertaken on the job, and it will be expected the successful candidate will also provide further training to new members of staff as well as participate in continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will work as part of a wider team, but will be accountable for their own work. The ideal candidate will also hold a counter balance FLT Licence although this is not essential.
Shift Pattern & Hourly Rates
£20,800.00 + 9% shift prem for day shifts = £22,672.00, Once nights commence rises to 18% = £24,544.00.
Currently working 7-7 12hr days, nights will commence at some point in 2022, again 7-7, averages out as a 40hr week, this will include weekends also in the next 12-18 months.
