• Cleaning and tidiness of all areas inside and outside the hatchery for ensuring a high level of biosecurity
• Adhering to health and safety standards at all times

• Relevant experience is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided

Purpose of the Role

To provide a Quality Control and Colour Matching Service to Production.

Duties include;

• Colour Match all batches on production
• Ensure that all batches are matched to standards and appropriate records maintained
• Monitor the progress of colour matches through production whilst continually adding tints to ensure colour match has passed
• Spraying all types of material used for specific paint
• Carry out Quality Control on production batches
• Produce batches of paint on Hand Mixers when required
• Keep the Lab clean and tidy

Successful Candidates;

• Previous experience working in the paint industry is an advantage but not essential
• Training will be given
• Good numeric and literacy skills
• Be able to follow Health and Safety Regulations
• Able bodied due to manual handling, where lifting, pushing and pulling is required
• Must be physically fit to handle heavy products 

Working Hours:

• Monday - Thursday – 8.30am-5pm
• Friday – 8.30am-4pm

Pay rate:

• £11 per hour

Gap Personnel are pleased to be working on this fantastic opportunity with a new business in the Blenheim area NG6 in Nottingham for an experienced Food Production Supervisor. 

The role is working in a start-up business, so you will be leading from the front, starting before the general production staff are employed and getting to know the business first hand before rolling out your knowledge and experience to your team. The ideal candidate will be proactive and assist in setting up the new business, whether that be dealing with deliveries or helping get the machinery and equipment up and running. 

We are looking for a candidate with the following experience:-

• Food hygiene certificate level 2 or above 
• Experience with running production in a food environment
• Ideally and FLT license (but not essential) 
• A very proactive outlook, happy to pitch in with new business demands

The job role will involve:-

• Ensuring the smooth production of food products 
• Training new starters
• Ensuring food hygiene standards are high and comply with H&S regulations 
• Adhering to KPI targets

• Assisting with the storage and packing of finished goods;
• Helping with other general duties within the production facility which may include cleaning, the removal of waste and other general cleaning and other duties on site;
• Assist loading/transport department on site, and off site in the event of exceptional circumstances.
