Job Title: Despatch Operative

gap personnel Gloucester are currently recruiting for 1 Despatch Operator on permanent contracts for a global packaging based at one of their sites in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

About the role:
- Performance against daily dispatch targets, where improvement has been achieved or reason for missing required performance, and identifying action to be taken
- Assigning work and coordinating rewind to ensure all daily despatches achieved
- Ensuring all Despatch responsibilities as identified following are actioned
- Coordinating dispatches from Daily Dispatch List to ensure delivery On Time In Full (OTIF)
- Arranging Courier collection of Same Day dispatches as and when required
- Relaying any failure to complete dispatches at earliest possible opportunity to Customer Service
- Able to complete delivery notes on Radius accurately as required e.g. out of office hours
- Able to pick call off orders and label as required for despatch on Radius
- Maintaining organized and accurate Finished Goods stock levels on Radius
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Experience of working in a high volume, low unit cost manufacturing environment
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with other production colleagues, and to site management
- Ability and willingness to work as an effective part of a team and on own when required and documented procedures
- Open to new and improved ways of working
- Willing and able to work to and achieve daily targets
- Able to undertake the physical tasks demanded by the role
About you:
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
- Ability to maintain hygiene and procedural standards required within their industry sector
- Previous experience of working with machines (ideally in a printing, pharmaceuticals, or food environment)
- Quality conscious
Working Hours and Salary:
- 36 hours per week
- 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am
- 3 days on, 3 days off, 3 nights on, 8 days off (rotate)
- £23.454 per annum
