Job Type: Ongoing temporary role.

Location: Shoeburyness, Essex

Pay: £14.50 per hour | Weekly Pay

Shift: Varied shifts from 7:00-20:00 depending on production requirements - Average hours can be from 40-60 hours per week 

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver to join their production environment in Shoeburyness. This is a blended role involving forklift operation, loading and unloading lorries, and manual handling duties within a busy production facility.

Immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently within the production environment.
• Load and unload lorries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Store raw materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Feed production lines with the required raw materials to ensure continuous production.
• Work as part of a two-person team, alternating between forklift duties and production line feeding responsibilities throughout the shift.
• Support the production floor with the movement of goods, materials, and finished products.
• Carry out general FLT warehouse duties, including stock movements and housekeeping.
• Complete manual handling tasks as required.
• Clean down production areas and equipment at the end of every shift, ensuring high housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse and production environment.
• Work flexible shifts, including later shifts up to 8pm. 

Requirements

• Previous counterbalance forklift experience is essential.
• Experience loading and unloading lorries is preferred.
• Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
• Able to work as part of a team in a blended role, alternating between FLT and production support duties.
• Flexible and available to work shifts from 07.00am. Rota basis with some shifts finishing 8pm approx. 
• Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.
