Gap Personnel is working with are client in Ipswich, Suffolk, a leading company in their field who are recruiting for Electrical/Service Engineer on a permanent full-time basis. 

This is due to recent expansion within the company they require experienced Engineers to join the great family run business.

Main Responsibilities

The role is for an experienced Electrician with knowledge of the installation of Motors, Pumps, Control panels and electrical services associated with clean water and wastewater systems. The role will include technical, electrical, and mechanical as well as hands on fault finding whilst support to our customers with breakdowns and installations.

Standard 39hr week Monday to Friday

Pay: From £37.999.72 per year + Overtime

Skills needed.

  • Servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance and responding to breakdowns with clean and dirty water systems.
  • Carry out electrical testing and certification of electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read panel drawings and understand control equipment.
  • Provide support on technical issues for customers and staff.
  • Electrical & Mechanical support of installations in a Commercial and Domestic environment.
  • To assist other trades as/when required.
  • Sites manage and support projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure all paperwork for project is kept up to date.
  • Support the Manager with any duties required.
  • Responsible for weekend/evening emergency callouts on rota with other engineers.
  • Good working Knowledge of BS7671. (Essential)
  • Working Knowledge of pipework installations and pumps (Desirable).

Training/Qualifications needed to undertake role.

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent AM2, testing and inspection and
  • certification of electrical circuits, CSCS / ECS Card, 17th or 18thEdition, Minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • Electrical Engineering: 2 years (preferred)
  • Pump Maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
  • Licence/Certification:
  • Driving Licence (required)
  • ECS Card (required)
