gap personnel Exeter are recruiting for a General Operative on a temp to perm basis for our client based in Dartmouth, Devon. 

You will be joining a leading company that provides Engineering Services to the Defence, Security, Nuclear and Emergency Services.

As a General Operative you will be required to undertake a wide variety of tasks across the site, including general labouring, painting, and operating a FLT and MEWP. Successful applicants for this role will be eager to learn new skills and be required to undertake training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position. 

About you:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work at height or in confined spaces
• Counterbalance FLT Licence (desirable, however a willingness to train is essential)
• Experience as a MEWP operator or willingness to train
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently 
• Full Clean UK Driving Licence - essential as may be requuired to travel to Devonport site on occasion
• Boating or Dockyard experience is beneficial
• Be willing to present themselves clean shaven for a face fit test

Pay & Hours:

• £16.44ph, paid weekly
• Monday to Thursday (0730am – 1530pm) & Friday 0730am – 1230pm, 35hours per week.
