Job description
We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Officer to join a team working within a busy hospital environment. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, security, and wellbeing of patients, staff, and visitors.
You will act as a key point of contact for maintaining a safe and secure environment while delivering excellent customer service.
A SIA licence is essential for the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol hospital premises, including wards, entrances, and car parks
- Control access to restricted areas
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
- Support hospital staff with conflict management and de-escalation
- Conduct regular security checks and report any issues
- Assist in evacuations and emergency procedures when required
- Provide a visible and reassuring presence at all times
Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)
- Previous security experience (hospital or healthcare setting desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
- Basic IT skills (for incident reporting systems)
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends
