Warehouse Operative – Goods Out
A national distributor based in Wickford, Essex. Due to ongoing growth are now looking for a Warehouse Picker/Packer to join their busy Goods Out team.

Gap personnel are looking for candidates with prior warehouse experience, as the role involves lifting heavy materials on a daily basis. This is a fast-paced environment, so applicants must be adaptable and able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining strong communication with the team.

Pay Rate: £11.44 ph
Hours: 08:00-17:00 Mon- Fri
Type: Temp to perm for the right candidate (12 Weeks)
Location: Wickford SS11

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately locate, pick, and pack stock with attention to detail.
• Palletise and label packages in preparation for dispatch.
• Move pallets and orders between departments and buildings using pump trucks.
• Maintain general warehouse cleanliness (keep aisles and locations clear, sweep, and perform other ad-hoc duties).
• Adhere to Health & Safety standards.
• Collaborate with other departments and communicate effectively.
• Provide cover for the Goods In/Stock Control departments during holidays.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

• A Counterbalance Truck Licence is beneficial but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and warehouse procedures.
• Previous experience as a picker/packer is essential.
• Experience handling heavy materials is required.
