Our client, based in Halifax, HG3 is looking for the Counterbalance Driver who will cover Production Operative role if needed.


Shift: day shift

Tuesday-Saturday- 8h daily

Salary is £12.00 p/h plus overtimes

Overtime available


A little bit about the proccess of the production: 

The facility processes category 3 raw material which is classed as low risk and includes parts of animals that have been passed fit but are not intended human consumption however, they can still be eaten by pets.

Raw materials such as beef, poultry and lamb are transported from abattoirs and butchers directly to our state-of-the-art site, where they are blended to customer specifications and plate-frozen in blocks to maintain freshness.

The frozen raw ingredients are then transported to some of the most well-known wet pet food producers to be used in canned pet food and pouch lines that can be seen in pet food aisles worldwide.


Responsibilities include:

Drive and operate counterbalance (vaild accredited FLT licence is essential)

Conduct routine pre- and post-operational checks on forklift equipment

Load and unload materials onto/from vehicles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Safely stack and secure items in designated areas within the factory

Put pallets away in designated storage locations

Pick and marshal pallets for outbound shipments with attention to detail and accuracy

General Production Operatives Duties

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized factory environment

Collaborate with team members to fulfil general factory tasks as needed

Candidate requirements:

  • Valid UK forklift operator's license
  • Proven experience in operating counterbalance forklifts.
  • Strong attention to safety protocols
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Job Types: Full-time, ongoing possition
