Job Title: Quality Controller

Location: Stonehouse

Pay Rate: £13.50 (AM & PM Shift) pre 12 weeks. £14.56 (AM & PM Shift) post 12 weeks

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 06:00am – 14:00pm & Monday – Friday 14:00pm – 22:00pm (weekly rotational shifts)

Contract: Temporary ongoing 

gap-personnel are we are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Controller to ensure that products meet all quality standards before reaching customers. Role is based in Stonehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and reporting on product quality, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and inspect production processes to ensure food safety and product quality standards are consistently met.
  • Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., HACCP, BRCGS, ISO, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections, testing, and corrective actions.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and evidence of compliance.
  • Work closely with production staff to identify, report, and resolve quality issues.
  • Assist in training staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a quality role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Flexibility to work shifts if required.

Overtime:

Overtime is paid over 40 hours at £16.88 if worked Monday to Friday,

£20.25 if worked Saturday and £27 if worked Sunday or Bank holiday.

As part of the selection process, inductions will be held on our Gloucester office before starting the role.
