Job description

Warehouse operative role (loading/unloading/picking/packing/palletising),within the logistics and supply chain sector, specifically focused on preparing orders for ASDA. Working the night shift from Monday to Friday, you'd be responsible for tasks such as picking items, packing orders, and ensuring they are ready for shipment to the shop stores. The role likely involves working efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in order fulfillment.

Shifts : Sunday-Thursday (Night shift) 

Hours : 8PM-6AM and 6PM-4.00AM / rotation shifts

Pay rate : £13.10/h - normal pay plus £19.30/h - overtime pay

Own car is essencial due to the localisation of the site


  1. Order Picking: Selecting items from designated locations within the warehouse based on customer orders. This involves using handheld scanners or paper pick lists to ensure accuracy.

  2. Packing: Packaging the picked items securely according to company standards, ensuring they are protected during transit to shop stores.

  3. Quality Control: Inspecting items for any damage or defects before packing to maintain quality standards.

  4. Stock Replenishment: Restocking shelves or storage areas with items as needed to maintain inventory levels.

  5. Loading and Unloading: Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles using manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

  6. Inventory Management: Keeping track of inventory levels, recording stock movements accurately, and reporting any discrepancies.

  7. Health and Safety: Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of hazardous materials and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  8. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient workflow and safe working conditions.

  9. Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily targets and address any issues that arise during the shift.

  10. Compliance: Following company policies and procedures, as well as any specific instructions related to store's requirements for order preparation and shipment.
