Fire Safety Advisor – Band 6 (Full Time, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm)

Locations: Peterborough, Stamford, Hinchingbrooke Hospitals + community sites

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Safety Advisor (Band 6) to join our Trust’s Fire Safety Team. Working Monday to Friday (8am–5pm), you will play a key role in maintaining fire safety standards across all Trust properties and ensuring compliance with statutory and NHS requirements.

About the Role

Reporting to the Trust Fire Safety Manager, you will provide professional, technical and practical fire safety support across all sites. This includes:

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing detailed fire risk assessments in line with HTM05 Part K and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Providing specialist fire safety advice to managers, staff, contractors and project teams.
  • Delivering high‑quality, face‑to‑face fire safety training, including induction, refresher and specialist sessions.
  • Managing the fire risk assessment audit system and overseeing training compliance.
  • Supporting fire authority inspections, reviewing recommendations, and ensuring remedial actions are completed.
  • Investigating fire-related incidents, responding to fire alarms, and assessing staff actions.
  • Monitoring the maintenance of fire‑related equipment, signage and firefighting systems.
  • Ensuring fire safety compliance within capital and estates projects.
  • Attending internal incidents and helicopter movements at PCH as required.
  • Deputising for the Trust Fire Safety Manager during periods of absence.
