Job Title: NHS Porter

Location: Gloucester
Pay Rates:

• Monday to Friday: £12.21 per hour

• Saturday: £17.22 per hour

• Sunday: £22.34 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)

• Rota-based shifts between 6:00am and 8:00pm

• Flexibility required

About the Role

We are currently seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as an NHS Porter on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. This is a vital frontline role within the hospital, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of services that directly support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Porter, your duties will include:

• Safely transporting patients between wards, departments, and treatment areas

• Moving medical equipment, supplies, and documentation across the hospital

• Supporting clinical staff with non-medical tasks

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of equipment and work areas

• Providing a friendly and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff

• Responding promptly to porter requests across the site

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Flexibility to work a rota including weekends and varying shifts

• Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and being on your feet

• Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
