We are currently recruiting for a temp to perm role- Production Operator in Caerphilly

Contract: Temp-Perm

Shifts:  Monday – Thursday 8am- 4:45pm and a 4pm finish on a Friday

Salary: £11.44

The production operator’s role is to provide a consistent supply of material within the production process (e.g. Weighing, Mixing, and Extruding). The supply of material for each subsequent process should be carried out quickly and methodically in a safe and controlled manner.

To achieve a quality end product each process has to be carried out accurately.

General Task – Overview

  • To set up and operate machinery, following company procedures and safe working practices, to achieve and maintain optimal running conditions, which produce finished products that fully comply with the Company’s and customer’s specifications.
  • To accurately complete relevant process documentation, (e.g. job cards, process condition sheets and extruder time data).
  • To ensure the demands of the mixing department are met, by ensuring the correct materials are promptly supplied maintaining material flow and production of finished product.
  • To accurately pick and weigh raw materials from a list of ingredients on a works order, utilising the resources provided
  • To ensure the demands of the extrusion department are met by ensuring the correctly mixed material is promptly supplied maintaining material flow and production of finished product.
  • To load material into a mixer in a safe and controlled manner, following company procedures.
  • To check the quality of finished product, (e.g. no oversized, fines, doubles or contamination) and to rectify issues should they occur

Performance will be measured on results such as (but not limited to):

  • Production Output based KPIs
  • Reduction in downtime KPIs
  • Efficiencies meeting or exceeding company expectations.


All training for the role will be provided
