Production Operative
Crediton, Devon
Monday to Friday, 6:15am to 3pm
We are now recruiting for a Production Operative to join a fantastic manufacturing company based in central Crediton. You will join a team that specialise in confectionary products and distribute throughout the UK.
Working within their production department, you will be joining a department which is key in the supply chain of their produce ready for dispatch. The role does demand accuracy, accountability and reliability with a key eye for attention.
The role of a Production Operative is varied with duties including:
- Manufacturing confectionery products using traditional methods
- Following written instructions
- Ensuring all items are correctly labelled and packed
- Reporting any damaged / defective products
- Working to packing deadlines
- Closely working between production, packing and despatch departments
- Operating equipment/machinery
- Ensure machinery is cleaned to a high standard
- Manual Handling/ Heavy lifting will be required
Production Operative Requirements:
- Ability to work well as part of a team and also independently
- Positive can-do attitude
- Works hard to meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Able to reliably get to site for shift times
Working hours and pay rates:
- Monday to Friday
- 6:15am to 3pm
- £11.44 per hour
Key skills; weighing, despatch, stores, stock rotation, quality control, goods-in, packing, packaging
