Production Operative
Location: Wincanton, Somerset
Pay: £12.75 per hour
Shifts: 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00
gap personnel are recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing site in Wincanton. This is a hands-on role, supporting the day-to-day filling and packing operations, ensuring high-quality output, efficiency, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently, performing routine checks and maintenance.
- Monitor production materials, packaging, and labels to minimise waste.
- Carry out quality checks and report any deviations promptly.
- Complete production paperwork accurately, including downtime and quality logs.
- Liaise with colleagues across filling and packing departments to maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain housekeeping, hygiene, and equipment standards.
- Follow all health, safety, and company policies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous dairy or production experience preferred.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and follow production plans.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
