About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our council team. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the appearance of public spaces, parks, and green areas for the benefit of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces.
- Operate and maintain horticultural machinery and tools safely.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance and gritting.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance techniques and equipment.
Desirable
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture.
- Relevant qualifications in horticulture or landscaping.
