Job description

We are currently recruiting for a temp to perm role- Technical Assistant in Llanelli

Contract: Temp-Perm

Shifts:  Monday – Friday 6am-3pm

Salary: £12.50

General Task – Overview

To perform a range of technical and clerical tasks during workdays. While their day-to-day duties vary according to the area of speciality, they typically include:

  • Checking equipment and stock levels of supplies on regular basis
  • Calibrating and setting up lab equipment on daily basis
  • Labelling, sorting and storing lab samples
  • Performing laboratory testing
  • Clerical tasks including printing and filing reports and data entry
  • Use latest methodologies and best practices
  • Adhere to the company procedures and policies
  • Document all activities
  • Maintain and track results
  • Maintain cleanliness
  • Help with administrative tasks when needed
  • Assist during investigation of customer complaints and investigation of supplier complaints.
  • Undertake product sampling from raw materials and finished product for testing in the onsite laboratory PV/FFA, Water Activity Testing, slip point testing, sieve test, allergen test, interpret results and reporting of results to Technical Manager/Supervisor.
  • Assist with customer visits and third-party audits.
  • Ensure all quality paperwork is completed in full and 100% accurate.
  • To work in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Guidelines.
  • To work in accordance with the Company Personnel Rule book and to observe all food safety and safe working practises.

All training for the role will be provided
