Job Title: MIG / TIG Welder
Location: Exeter

Pay Rate: £17-£20 per hour

An established signage company specialising in custom signage is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to support ongoing fabrication projects. The role involves working primarily with aluminium and steel to produce high-quality structural and decorative components for commercial signage.

This position would suit a reliable, skilled welder who can work independently, maintain high standards of workmanship, and meet project deadlines.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG welding of aluminium and steel components

• Fabricating frames, brackets, supports and structural elements for signage

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job specifications

• Measuring, cutting and preparing materials prior to welding

• Grinding, finishing and dressing welds to a high standard

• Assembling fabricated parts ready for installation or finishing

• Carrying out quality checks to ensure strength, accuracy and finish

• Working safely and following all relevant health & safety procedures

• Maintaining a clean and organised work area

• Collaborating with other trades including fabricators, fitters and installers

• Meeting production deadlines while maintaining workmanship standards

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding

• Strong experience working with aluminium and steel

• Ability to work from drawings with minimal supervision

• Good understanding of fabrication processes

• High attention to detail and pride in finished work

• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ideally have own welding equipment and tools suitable for MIG and TIG welding
