Production Controller
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Exeter
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 16:30pm
Role Overview
We are looking for an organised and detail-driven Production Controller to join our client on a permanent basis. This is a key role within their production operation, ensuring that accurate information flows seamlessly between office systems and the shop floor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production data, managing schedules, and producing clear, timely reports that support efficient manufacturing and on-time delivery. This role would suit someone with experience in production control, manufacturing administration, or a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately enter, maintain, and update project and job information within a bespoke production database

Prepare, manage, and distribute daily and weekly production reports to shop floor departments

Maintain and update the production despatch schedule to support on-time delivery of products

Print, issue, and control production documentation for new and ongoing projects

Monitor progress against schedules and highlight any potential delays or issues

Maintain and update a bespoke personnel database, including records for shop floor holidays, sickness, and absences

Act as a key point of communication between production teams and office-based colleagues

Support continuous improvement by ensuring production data is accurate, up to date, and accessible
Skills & Experience Required

Strong IT skills with confidence using bespoke databases and production systems

Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting

Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Previous experience in production control, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment (advantageous)

Clear and confident communicator, able to work effectively with both shop floor teams and office-based colleagues

A proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving
