Great Lakes Challenge puts gap in top 1% of fundraisers
We are pleased to announce that the final total raised by the gap personnel group Charity Challenge 2016 was £6861.
Throughout July, there were almost 67,000 fundraisers across the UK via JustGiving and our donation of more than £6800 puts the donation in the top 1% of donators or the month of July. Not only did the team achieve the top 1% of JustGiving fundraisers, but they also broke the challenge record, completing the 24 hour challenge in 19 hours and 54 minutes.
Alongside the efforts of the brave fourteen that took part, the whole of the gap personnel group embraced the charity spirit by taking part in a nationwide fancy dress day.
The funds raised were donated to The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), based at the beautiful Booth Bank Farm, a 17th Century farmhouse set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. They provide a variety of programmes for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West.
The 2017 Charity Challenge will see gap personnel celebrating their 20th anniversary of business, having been founded in 1997, and as a result will be announcing a huge charity drive for the year.
