Three more golden years for gap

gap personnel are pleased to announce that the company has secured the highly prestigious Investors in People (IIP) Gold Standard accreditation until 2020.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of gap being shortlisted in two categories at the 2017 Recruiter Awards, and marks the third successive occasion that the company has received the Gold Standard, placing gap in the top four percent of UK companies with the award widely recognised as an indicator of word class best practice.

gap personnel were originally awarded IIP Gold status in 2011 and have since been recognised in both 2014 and 2017 following a series of audits and interviews by Investors in People with staff from all regions of the gap personnel network.

IIP is a national quality standard which defines good practice for improving an organization's performance through its people. Developed in 1990 by a partnership of leading businesses and national organizations in the UK, the standard helps organizations to improve performance and realize objectives through the management and development of their people. Since it was developed the standard has been reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains relevant, accessible and attractive to all.

In an executive summary provided by the IIP following the assessment, gap personnel was described as having “A commitment to ensuring that people’s work life balance is supported effectively so that individuals are able to continue to perform in their roles.”

Additionally, the summary stated the company has “A very strong culture of reward and recognition where individual and team successes are regularly celebrated. An organisation where people enjoy working.”

On receiving the accreditation, Head of HR and Talent Management, Claire Roberts said : “Securing our Investors in People Gold Standard accreditation for a further three years is a huge achievement and everyone who participated in the assessment days should be proud of their contribution towards achieving the successful re-assessment. IIP is an important credential for gap personnel as the assessment isn’t focused on one individual, a branch or a region, but the company as a whole – the opinions are those of our most important people, our employees and therefore we have been recognised as meeting and achieving the Gold Standard meaning we can be confident that we are amongst the very best companies in the world, when it comes to people management.”
