Who are New England Seafood International (NESI)?

New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 850 people across three sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from all around the world. We are part of the Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation formed in 1971, and which is owned by 26,000 Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian shareholders, who are all bloodline descendants of the first settlers to the Americas. 

Our vision is to “show people how to enjoy fish every day” and we pride ourselves on our supply chain integrity, sustainable sourcing, and high-quality product. Our values run through our business and are Respect, Customer Care, By Learning We Grow, Team Spirit and Integrity.

The Paignton site is the only Crab Processing Site within the New England Seafood Group.

What is the site Location for New England Sea Food? 
Woodview Road, Paignton, Devon
 
What are the working hours? 
Monday to Friday, 0700am to Finish (Usually 3.30pm)
 
Do I need previous experience? 
No! Full training is provided. If you've worked in production, food manufacturing, warehousing, or packing before, that's a bonus—but it's not essential.
 
Is it cold within the factory? 
Yes, some areas are temperature controlled to keep products fresh. Suitable protective clothing is provided, and you'll soon get used to the environment.
 
Is the site accessible by Public Transport? 
Yes, there is a bus stop near South Devon College and the Factory is a short walk up the road.
 
Where are the nearest gap personnel offices? 
We have our office based in Exeter; Zenith House, Magdalen Road, Exeter, EX2 4TE.
 
How do gap personnel provide support? 
We provide you with a dedicated account manager, 24-7 support, worker welfare support lines, weekly pay, weekly holiday updates and an urgency to resolve any questions or queries you may have. You will also be provided with all the information and details you need regarding your assignment and job role.
 
What training do I need before I start a temporary job at New England Sea Food? 
gap personnel will provide you with Health & Safety training and Level 2 Food Safety training via an online platform.
 
Do you have any part time hours available?
Part time hours are sadly not available.
