Gap Personnel who operate as an employment business are recruiting for x1 Fabricator:

Role: Fabricator 

Job Term: Permanent 

Pay: Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Sandbach, CW11  

Job description:

•        Shape metal material over anvils, blocks, or other forms, using hand tools

•        Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets

•        Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, rivets, braze and solder in order to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items

•        Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools

•        Develop and lay out patterns that use materials most efficiently

•        Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material

•        Inspect individual parts, assemblies, and installations for conformance to specifications.

Skills and Qualifications 

•        Experience of working in an engineering fabrication environment for a minimum of 5 years

•        Experience of working with a variety of materials

•        Knowledge of fabricating machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

•        The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted

•        The ability to interpret an engineering drawing and imagine how the product should look after it is completed

•        Must be reliable and trustworthy

•        Must be highly responsible, effective, confident and capable.
