Finance Assistant

💷 £14.00 per hour
🕗 Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy and supportive finance team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who is organised, proactive, and able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining financial records including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
• Processing employee expenses
• Handling and resolving supplier queries
• Supporting purchase ledger and cash management activities
• Ensuring invoices are processed in line with approvals and internal controls
• Supporting compliance with finance procedures and controls

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Have at least 12 months’ experience within a finance role
• Possess a good understanding of accounting principles and purchasing processes
• Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Have excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Be flexible and adaptable within a changing environment
• Be confident supporting both finance and non-finance colleagues

Desirable Skills

• Experience using SAP, SAGE, and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to implement and follow finance processes and controls
