Are you passionate about accuracy, problem-solving, and keeping operations running smoothly? We're looking for an Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy across our manufacturing site, ensuring inventory records are reliable, reconciled, and support efficient production planning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with inventory or stock control experience who enjoys investigating issues, improving processes, and working closely with production, finance, quality, and supply chain teams. This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, providing the opportunity to secure a permanent position within the business.


πŸ” What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the site cycle count programme and maintain inventory accuracy above target levels.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Reconcile raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and bulk tank inventory.
  • Process inventory adjustments within approved limits using Oracle ERP.
  • Monitor material consumption against BOMs and highlight variances.
  • Support month-end inventory reconciliations and annual stocktakes.
  • Produce weekly inventory performance reports and KPI scorecards.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support internal, customer, and external audits.
  • Promote inventory best practices across the site.

βœ… What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Inventory Control, Stock Control, Materials Control, or a similar role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • ERP experience (Oracle Cloud preferred).
  • Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data reconciliation.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within chemical or process manufacturing.
  • CILT, APICS/ASCM, or other Supply Chain qualification.
  • Knowledge of BOMs, MRP, and inventory management principles.
