Machine Setter

We’re looking for a skilled Machine setter to join our manufacturing team, operating a range of power presses and metal‑forming equipment to produce high‑quality standard and bespoke fixings.

⏱️ Working Hours & Pay

• Monday to Friday – weekly rotating shifts:
• 06:00–14:00 — £13.50 per hour
• 14:00–22:00 — £15.53 per hour
• Overtime available

⭐ What You’ll Do

• Operate Power Presses — Set and run metal‑forming and cutting machinery to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Tool Changeovers — Complete efficient press‑tool changes following SMED principles.
• Material Handling — Load machines, retrieve materials, and manufacture exact order quantities.
• Quality Checks — Perform first‑off, in‑process, and final inspections to ensure products meet specification.
• Data & Reporting — Update ERP systems (Movex), Excel, and data loggers accurately.
• Maintenance — Maintain equipment, complete weekly checks, and report issues promptly.
• Housekeeping & Safety — Follow all H&S procedures, complete safety checks, and maintain a clean working area.
• Continuous Improvement — Contribute ideas and support improvement projects.
• Team Flexibility — Support colleagues and other departments.

✔ What We’re Looking For

• Experience operating power presses or similar machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Understanding of H&S requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work to production schedules and meet targets
