Job Title: Quality Control Assistant
Location: Deeside
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (overtime available)
Salary: £13.39 per hour + overtime

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to join our team in Deeside. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before reaching our customers. Your work will involve inspecting products, monitoring processes, and supporting the Quality Inspector in maintaining consistent product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products, documenting results accurately.
  • Assist in Gravimetric testing using established procedures and equipment.
  • Load and unload containers and curtain siders using a Forklift Truck.
  • Sort and examine split loads, completing necessary paperwork for the Weighbridge Administrator.
  • Test and grade materials, including paper, cardboard, and plastic.
  • Identify and remove non-conforming materials, reporting defects promptly.
  • Conduct daily checks to ensure machinery, plant, and equipment are in safe working order.
  • Inspect containers and produce photographic evidence for export purposes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and efficiency across work areas, including stock rotation and yard cleaning.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all times.
  • Liaise closely with the Weighbridge Administrator to monitor inbound/outbound material and stock levels.
  • Deputise for the Quality Inspector when required.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • NPORS or similar licence to operate relevant mobile plant.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, team-focused environment.
