Rewind Operator – 24/5 Shift Pattern

Pay & Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm during the initial 2-week training period
  • Following training, move onto a 24/5 shift pattern
  • £12.89 per hour during training, increasing to £14.92 per hour when on shift
  • 12-week temporary to permanent opportunity – £29,749 per annum once permanent

About the Role

We are currently recruiting an Machine Operator to join our production team. This is a key role within the manufacturing process, ensuring finished products meet the highest quality standards while maintaining maximum efficiency and minimal waste.

You will be responsible for operating inspection and rewind machinery, identifying faults, and ensuring all products conform to quality specifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate in full compliance with company health & safety policies at all times
  • Set up and operate inspection and rewind machinery to achieve maximum output, minimum waste, and highest quality standards
  • Carry out detailed visual inspections to identify faults and non-conformities
  • Fault-find and resolve issues to maintain continuous production flow
  • Perform basic routine maintenance and complete weekly safety and equipment checks
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area at all times
  • Accurately complete production records and documentation
  • Work to key performance indicators including conformance to plan, quality, and waste reduction
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to resolve production issues

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience operating inspection rewind machinery preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent fault-finding skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and confidence carrying out routine equipment maintenance
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and using own initiative
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Accurate record keeping and documentation skills
