Job description

Pay and shift patterns

·         Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm & Friday 8am – 3.45pm

·         £18.50 per hour

 

Responsibilities:

·         Ensure that health and safety is your highest priority and is considered in all plans, actions, and activities. Drive uptake and completion of near misses.

·         Contributing to raising the profile of the maintenance team and driving continuous improvement

·         Work closely with the production manager.

·         React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue

·         Fault finding and repair on production equipment

·         Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site

·         Management of contractors and projects onsite

·         Commissioning, development and improvement of production equipment

  • Manufacturing KPI’s
  • Experience of managing cross functional teams to deliver against requirements
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to work alone
  • Isn’t afraid to get dirty

 

Basic Qualifications / Experience:

  • Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines (30/70)
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
  • Experience in fault finding within a manufacturing facility on PLCs and Pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings

 

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

·         Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng

·         Experience in manufacturing environments
