Machine Setter

Gap Personnel who operate as an employment business are recruiting for a machine setter:

Ongoing work with permanent opportunities for the right candidate

Location: Nantwich CW5

Working hours: Monday to Friday weekly rotation 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm.

Pay: £14.16 per hour

An excellent opportunity to start with one of Cheshire's leading manufacturing factories. 

Required Experience: The chosen candidate must have previous experience in a mechanical role.

Maintenance & Machinery Operations

• Perform routine maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Operate and set up machinery as required for production runs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the production team to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest innovative solutions.

Problem Solving & Efficiency

• Analyse machinery issues and implement effective solutions.
• Work independently to meet production deadlines, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements:

1. At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or machine setting environment.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
4. Reliable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
6. Checking schedules
7. Operating packing machines
8. Setting machines 
9. Labelling quantities for returns and materials
10. Prep paperwork and labels for each product and machine

Candidate must be computer literate, able to work individually and part of a team.

The role is due to start immediately for the successful candidate.
