Mixing Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Mixing Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment in Preston. This role is essential in supporting production by ensuring mixed bulk is prepared accurately, safely, and delivered on time. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of GMP and hygiene within the mixing area.

 

Location: Preston
Shift: Monday to Friday, Late Shift (13:50 – 21:50)
Pay Rate: £14.79 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Handling, dispensing, and mixing chemicals in line with production requirements
• Issuing materials using QAD MFG Pro
• Sampling mixed bulk for the In-Process Laboratory
• Carrying out corrections as required
• Completing and maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Transferring approved bulk to storage vessels
• Maintaining high cleaning and hygiene standards across all mixing areas
• Offloading tanker deliveries and managing bulk transfers
• Supporting stock control activities and stock counts
• Providing cover for hygiene duties when required
• Following all Health & Safety and GMP standards at all times
• Reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisor

• Previous experience within a manufacturing/production environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Problem-solving skills and logical approach to tasks
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good level of fitness and willingness to undertake manual work
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Flexible to support overtime if required

Essential Requirement

• ✅ Valid Forklift Truck Licence
