Location: Remote (Home‑Based)
Training: Full in‑person training provided
Hours: 12 hour day shifts on Saturday and Sunday with the potential of additional hours in the evening on week days
Contract: Temporary, may lead to permanent for the right candidate
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Overview
We are looking to recruit an Out‑of‑Hours Call Operative to support our business by handling incoming calls outside of normal office hours. This role is essential in ensuring our clients, candidates, and internal teams receive timely assistance whenever they need it.
You will work remotely from home, responding to calls, logging information accurately, and escalating issues where required. Full in‑person training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and fully supported before working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally outside of business hours
- Record call details accurately using internal systems and Excel
- Provide clear information, support, and guidance to callers
- Escalate urgent issues to the relevant on‑call manager or department
- Maintain confidentiality and follow company procedures at all times
- Ensure all interactions are logged and followed up where required
- Represent the business with a calm, helpful, and solution‑focused approach
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong communication skills with a professional telephone manner
- Confident using Excel for logging and updating information
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Comfortable working remotely with access to a quiet, suitable workspace
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous customer service or call handling experience is desirable but not essential
