Part-Time Stock Controller / Stock Control Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Stock Controller to join our team in Preston. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, carrying out stock checks, investigating discrepancies, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the warehouse.

Location: Preston, Lancashire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm (25 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular stock counts and cycle checks.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock data.

• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

• Process stock movements and update warehouse systems.

• Assist with goods-in and goods-out checks.

• Produce stock reports when required.

• Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure stock accuracy.

Requirements

• Previous stock control, warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience preferred.

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

• Basic computer skills and confidence using stock management systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
