Production operative

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run manufacturing business based in a rural setting in the Preston area. Due to continued growth, our client is expanding their production team across several departments.

Please note, due to nature of the business, candidate will need to handle meat related raw products.

 

Location: Preston area – rural location (own transport is essential)

 

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Pay: £12.71 per hour 

 

Role 1: Packing Operatives

 

·         Working within a busy packing department, preparing and packing products in a fast-paced production environment.

·         Packing products accurately and efficiently

·         Working to daily production targets

·         Repetitive tasks including bending and lifting

·         Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness

·         Supporting colleagues as part of a team

 

 

Role 2: Process Operative

 

·         Working within the processing department, handling and racking raw product. This role is largely independent and suited to someone comfortable working alone for extended periods.

·         Racking and organising product

·         Manual handling duties

·         Maintaining hygiene and safety standards

·         Keeping the work area clean and organised

 

Requirements

 

·         Good level of physical fitness

·         Self-motivated and dependable

·         Comfortable working independently

·         Strong work ethic and reliability

·         Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive movement

·         Able to work at pace in a target-driven environment

·         Positive attitude and strong work ethic

·         Reliable and punctual

 

This role can be physically demanding initially; however, full support and task rotation are provided to help new starters settle in.
