Position: QC Laboratory Technician
Contract Type: Temporary (Initial 3-month contract)
Hours: Full-time, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (Includes a 1-hour unpaid break, plus two additional paid breaks of 10 and 15 minutes)
Location: Stockport, SK4
Salary/Rate: £12.71/hour

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented QC Laboratory Technician to join our team for an initial 3-month contract. This role is primarily focused on quality control work within our laboratory, ensuring our finished goods and base materials meet strict quality standards.
Full training will be provided on all laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and product specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Inspection: Inspect finished goods and check base materials for colour, construction, weight, and general appearance to ensure they meet required standards.
- Testing & Analysis: Carry out specific quality grade tests and follow established laboratory procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Data Recording: Maintain accurate documentation, record test results precisely, and identify/report any quality issues to the QC/Laboratory team.
- Equipment Care: Ensure laboratory equipment is used correctly, kept clean, and maintained in good condition.
- Team Support: Assist the wider QC team with routine laboratory and quality control activities.
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle differences in colour, appearance, and material construction.
- Strong basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
- The ability to accurately follow written procedures and specifications.
- A reliable, organised approach to work with good communication skills.
- Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous laboratory or quality control experience is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training is provided.
