We are looking for an experienced, motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our clients team based in Rotherham. This is a manual, hands-on role supporting the efficient movement, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished goods over 2 sites, while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and housekeeping.

 

🔹 The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operating a forklift truck and VNA truck in a busy warehouse environment
• Consolidating and preparing customer orders accurately
• Palletising, banding, and moving stock into racking
• Safe loading and unloading of HGV deliveries and containers
• Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards in the warehouse

 

🔹 About You

• A current Forklift & VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) truck licence
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment
• Sufficient physical fitness to undertake manual handling tasks
• Strong accuracy and numeracy skills for order handling
• Awareness of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices
• Reliability, good timekeeping, and a proactive approach to work
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
• Willingness to develop new skills and take on additional responsibilities

 

🔹 Shift Patterns

• 3 shift rotation (Days, Nights and Afters)
• Days: 5:45am – 2pm
• Afters: 1:45pm – 10pm
• Nights: 9:45pm – 6am

🔹 Pay Rates as a Warehouse Operative

• Starting at £12.71 per hour – Rising to £13.58 after training (approx 4 weeks)
