Job description
Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Sewing Machinists to work for a busy client based in Skelmersdale.
The roles are based on an ongoing basis and will lead to permanent contracts for suitable candidates. No part-time arrangements are available.
The purpose, requirements, and duties of the role:
· The company deals with medical products.
· Previous sewing experience required, within a factory environment.
· Follow operating instructions for the Lockstitch and Overclock Machine.
· Complete requirements for sewing medical products and mattress covers.
· Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirement of the sewing project.
· Good attention to detail & excellent hand-eye coordination.
· Experience in working with targets.
Shift pattern and hours:
· Monday to Thursday, 0745 – 1700.
· Friday 0745 – 1245.
Salary:
· National Minimum Wage.
